BLUE HORIZONS: Terms & Conditions
Please read each section carefully as it contains important information. “We” refers to Blue Horizons.
- RISK STATEMENT
It must be recognised that watersports are, by their nature, unpredictable and therefore inherently involve an element of risk. By taking part in any of our activities, you agree and acknowledge that:
- You are aware of the inherent element of risk involved in the sport and you accept responsibility for exposing yourself to such inherent risk;
- You will comply at all times with the instructions by Blue Horizons’ employees, particularly concerning the wearing of buoyancy aids and the wearing of suitable clothing for the conditions;
- You accept responsibility for any injury, damage or loss to the extent caused by your own negligence;
- You will not participate in the sport whilst your ability is impaired by alcohol, drugs or whilst otherwise unfit to participate;
- You are aware of any specific risks drawn to your attention by the employees.

- SURF SESSIONS
Before booking, please satisfy yourself as to your suitability for the session you are attending. If you are in any doubt please contact us.
- We will deliver the lesson to the standard required by the governing body.
- People under 16 years old can only attend sessions with parents or legal guardians’ consent.
- Bookings will only be confirmed once the booking forms (where requested) are completed and once full payment has been made.
- We shall try our best to contact you the day before your session to confirm the location and time of your session however it is YOUR responsibility to confirm with us 24 hours before to confirm.
- Prices on the website are inclusive of VAT where applicable. Prices may change from time to time, the price payable is that advertised at the time of booking.
- Students should ensure that they are physically able to take part in the session. Any pre-existing medical conditions must be declared at the time of booking. Details of any medication being taken must be recorded on the booking form and the Instructor must also be informed at the time of commencement of the session. Failure to comply with this clause will invalidate any claim against Blue Horizons arising from any medical complaint not previously disclosed.
- Students must comply with reasonable instructions from staff at all times throughout the session. The decision of any Instructor is final.
- We do not accept any responsibility for any loss damage or injury suffered by any persons and/or their property arising out of or during the session unless such loss or damage was caused by or resulted from negligence. It is recommended that students take their own travel insurance.
- Any complaints must be made in writing/email within 28 days from the completion or cancellation of the session, complaints received after this date will be invalid. This does not affect your right to provide feedback.
- CLUBS
Bookings for club sessions are at a discounted rate for a block of lessons and must be used within the same calendar year.
- Our clubs are for Pembrokeshire residents only. Proof of residence will be required.
- EQUIPMENT
Wetsuit and surfboard hire are included in all sessions.
- In the event of an item not being returned or damaged due to your negligence, you agree to pay for its replacement.
- CANCELLATIONS
Cancellations by YOU.
- To claim a full refund, we require a minimum of 48 hours’ notice of cancellation. Your booking fee is non-refundable.
Cancellation on GROUP BOOKINGS
- Group bookings require 7 days cancellation notice. The booking fee is non-refundable.
Cancellations for SURF CLUB
- When you purchase a block of sessions for our club, you do so at a discounted rate. If you would like to cancel your sessions, you may do so at least 48 hours before your next session.
- The amount refunded will depend on the number of lessons used, charged at full price, which will then be deducted from the total paid originally.
- The booking fee is non-refundable.
Cancellations by BLUE HORIZONS.
- We cannot control the weather and if we deem the conditions to be unsafe, we may cancel your session and will endeavour to contact you as soon as possible. If we cancel, we will offer you an alternative day, issue a voucher or a full refund. We will not be responsible for other costs.
- The booking fee is non-refundable.
No interest will be payable on any amounts refunded.
- LIMITATION
Any claim arising from or in connection with this Agreement to be brought by one party against the other shall be brought within six months of the completion date of the session or delivery, failing which such claims shall be time-barred.
- SEVERANCE
The invalidity in whole or in part of any clause in this Agreement shall not affect the validity of the remainder of such clause or this Agreement.
- LAW AND JURISDICTION
This agreement shall be governed by and construed in all respects in accordance with the Laws of England and Wales shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Welsh Courts.
